The community subsists on less than $1 per person per day. At enormous personal sacrifice, Pastor Steven and his wife have also adopted 20 orphans - who live with them and their 2 other children. Beheaded men were child criminals
The men had been convicted at the age of 17, of crimes including the abduction and rape of children, theft, and use of alcohol and drugs. It is alleged that they were beaten whilst in police custody before going on trial in secret in February 2008. 34 people have been beheaded this year in Saudi Arabia. |

Two men beheaded in Medina this week were children when they committed their crimes. Amnesty International have criticised the Saudi government for allowing the executions to go ahead, as this contravenes the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (which the country is signed up to).
