Introducing Pastor Steven from Rwanda:

Pastor Steven

Pastor Steven Turikunkiko has set up a community in Rwanda for victims of the genocide. 160 widows & teenagers & 80 younger children live with him; farming, sharing their lives and caring for those dying from AIDS. The community subsists on less than $1 per person per day.

At enormous personal sacrifice, Pastor Steven and his wife have also adopted 20 orphans - who live with them and their 2 other children.

US flagThere was uproar in 1966 when John Lennon said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. But in a recent US Harris Poll, Barack Obama was deemed to be a greater hero than Jesus.

More than 2,500 responded to the online poll, asking them to name three people they deemed to be a hero. The results were:

1. Barack Obama

2. Jesus Christ

3. Martin Luther King, Jr

4. Ronald Reagan

5. George W. Bush

 

In 2001, the results were:

1. Jesus Christ

2. Martin Luther King, Jr

3. Colin Powell

4. John F. Kennedy

5. Mother Teresa
