Pastor Steven Turikunkiko has set up a community in Rwanda for victims of the genocide. 160 widows & teenagers & 80 younger children live with him; farming, sharing their lives and caring for those dying from AIDS. The community subsists on less than $1 per person per day. At enormous personal sacrifice, Pastor Steven and his wife have also adopted 20 orphans - who live with them and their 2 other children. Iranian-American student arrested in Tehran
Momeni, a student at Northiridge campus of California State University, was arrested on 15 October. She was traveling in Iran to carry out research for her thesis on women's rights. A One-Million-Signature campaign aims at putting pressure on the Iranian government to abolish discrimination towards women. Involvement in the campaign has result in a number of arrests in 2008. |

An Iranian-American student has been arrested for suspected political activity in Tehran. Although she has not yet been charged, Esha Momeni stands accused of being involved in a Women's Rights Equality Campaign.
