The community subsists on less than $1 per person per day. At enormous personal sacrifice, Pastor Steven and his wife have also adopted 20 orphans - who live with them and their 2 other children. Rick Warren's family in health crisis
This is the second health crisis that Jamie has had to endure this year. Two months ago, she underwent a Caesarean Section to give birth to baby Cole. Rick Warren, author of Purpose Driven Church, has been keeping his Saddleback Community Church up-to-date with developments via e-mail. He is taking time out at the present time to be with his family. |

Rick Warren's daughter-in-law has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Jamie Warren, 25, was found to have a serious and complex tumour at the base of her brain after a scan followed spells of dizziness, headaches and blurred vision. She has since undergone two operations and her condition is said to be improving.
