Pastor Steven Turikunkiko has set up a community in Rwanda for victims of the genocide. 160 widows & teenagers & 80 younger children live with him; farming, sharing their lives and caring for those dying from AIDS. The community subsists on less than $1 per person per day. At enormous personal sacrifice, Pastor Steven and his wife have also adopted 20 orphans - who live with them and their 2 other children. Commonwealth Youth Games begin
From 12-18 October, 1,300 athletes and 350 officials from 71 countries will participate in nine sports: athletics, badminton, boxing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, tennis, weightlifting and wrestling. A primary focus of the Games is the 'Save the Tiger' campaign. For more details, click here

71 teams are arriving in Pune, India for the 2008 Commonwelath Youth Games this week. This is the first time that the Games have been held in Asia.
