Radicals attack Christian students in India
The attack took place at the Timothy Theological College, Bellary, Karnataka. Approximately 20 radicals belonging to Hindu Jagarna Vedike (Hindu Enlightenment Group) and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (World Hindu Council) forced their way into the college where they attacked the students and lecturer before tearing up Bibles, smashing the windows and destroying the furniture. The lecturer, Rev. Jayaprakash sustained head injuries during the attack which came as a result of him alledgedly carrying out “forced conversions.” Eleven radicals were arrested and there is an ongoing inquiry into the matter. |
