Pastor Steven Turikunkiko has set up a community in Rwanda for victims of the genocide. 160 widows & teenagers & 80 younger children live with him; farming, sharing their lives and caring for those dying from AIDS. The community subsists on less than $1 per person per day. At enormous personal sacrifice, Pastor Steven and his wife have also adopted 20 orphans - who live with them and their 2 other children. 15,000 German youth harassed at Christian rally
450 protesters gathered nearby and taunted the young Christians whilst some set off fireworks. Many of the protesters apparently chanted "No God, no state, no patriarchy" and "Never again Jesus" amongst other slogans. Christival young people were accused of being right-wing, homophobic and sexist. The Christival website was hacked into and a message posted, "Hey you. Christival.de is temporarily closed. We know that belief in God is curable. In the past, we were very religious. Now it is gone." At some of the Christival events, young Christians had beer bottles thrown at them.
